Be First has prepared a Place Strategy with the support of the Mayor of London's Civic Partnership Programme. The Civic Partnership Programme (CPP) is a £12.85m grant-funding programme. It targets areas of need where local authority regeneration objectives align with Mayoral priorities, in order to combat long-standing inequalities and support areas undergoing change.

Thames Road is an industrial area that’s home to several businesses and a small number of residents. The area is changing and over the next 20 years new businesses will move here, existing industry will modernise and more homes will be built. These significant changes will enable improvements to the public realm and provide new social and community facilities.

Your views and ideas have helped to shape the Place Strategy for Thames Road, which will in turn be used to inform the transformation of Thames Road.

In May, the Place Strategy was submitted to the Greater London Authority together with a grant funding application for a project that seeks to benefit the community with improvements to the public realm and a new space to come together to innovate and learn. You can view the Place Strategy document here.
