Why not go electric?

Barking BikeFest is a celebration of sustainable travel, and at Electric Avenue we’ll be demonstrating a number of green alternatives to your car !

  • Electric cycles

If you are interested in e-bikes, you are in luck! Lime Bike will be in attendance to showcase their e-bikes. They will also be putting on a demonstration. E-bikes are cleaner and less expensive than a rideshare and Lime electric-assist bikes make it easy to get across town. Come down to Abbey Green and try one out for yourself.

  • Car Clubs

Have you ever had questions about how Car Clubs actually work? Come down to Electric Avenue and talk to Enterprise Car Club. Enterprise Car Club offers access to a choice of cars and vans parked on street. Enterprise Car Club currently provides vehicle in Barking Riverside, which are available 24/7, 365 days of the year. Membership includes fuel, servicing and MOTs and more, meaning you only ever pay for a vehicle when you need it, not when you don’t.

  • I’ve got the power

Electric travel is all very well, but how do you charge your vehicle? We’ll be working with our partners, Connected Kerb, demonstrating their charging point technology and talking through the options

So come along to BikeFest's Electric Avenue at Abbey Green on 21 May!

We are delighted to announce that we are hosting the Barking BikeFest on Saturday 21 May. It'll be a day packed with community cycle racing, entertainment and cumulating in the only London round of the Tour Series 2022 - two professional cycle races around Abbey Green, Barking.

The whole day will be a celebration of active and sustainable travel and we are expecting up to 10,000 people to attend, most of whom will be keen to hear how they can be part of the sustainability agenda.

We are inviting businesses to come and showcase their sustainable travel offer on the day.

We would like businesses to display their e-bikes, electric vehicles, electric charging (and more) on the day at our Electric Avenue.

So, if you have something that you would like to exhibit or display on the day, please get in touch. Simply drop me a line by email or call me.

    Lucy Foreman
