Homes plan to go to planning committee

Our plan to build 15 new homes at the northern end of Margaret Bondfield Avenue, by Exeter House has now been submitted and will be considered by the council's planning committee on 14 September.

This follows a review of the project which was started after a meeting with residents, organised by Margaret Hodge MP and local Councillor Foyzur Rahman, in March. We considered the concerns raised by residents about the development and agreed to review the plans with the council and to consider alternative uses for the buildings.

This review has now been completed, but we have found no viable alternative uses.

We have therefore submitted the planning application to the council for decision again. It remains largely as before, with only minor changes to the original plan.

The application is to provide temporary accommodation for local people on the housing list. Full details can be seen on the Council's website. The reference number of the planning application is 20/00040/FUL.
