The council is proposing to build 56 new homes and provide over 600 square metres of community space on Woodward Road, behind the former library and health centre.

The ambitious plan is expected to result in much needed affordable homes for local people on the site of the recently demolished Woodward Hall and Greig Hall.

In addition, the council aims to:

  • renovate the former library to provide new flexible space for community services; and
  • carry out landscaping and improvements to the external spaces around the site.
